Description
Students learn the fundamentals of baking while working in a real commercial kitchen. Throughout the week, campers prepare cookies, cupcakes, cream puffs, homemade ice cream, muffins, biscuits, chocolate cream pie, and more while exploring the science behind baking and mastering a variety of techniques.
Campers build skills in measuring, mixing, food safety, kitchen organization, and presentation — learning how precision, timing, and creativity all work together in professional baking.
In support of the MWV StageWorks theater project, students will also prepare select baked goods to be offered during performance nights, giving campers the opportunity to contribute to a real community event and experience what it’s like to produce for an audience.
