Refund Policy
In the event you cannot attend the MWV School to Career camp you may be entitled to a refund. You will receive a full refund as long as you provide written notice (letter or email) no less than 30 days prior to the start of the camps. If you notify us less than 30 days from the start of the camps you will receive a 50% refund. No refund will be issued if you cancel less than 14 days from the camp start date.
Description
Hosted Onsite at Memorial Hospital, this immersive, hands-on camp gives students an authentic look at the world of healthcare. Campers explore a wide range of health-related careers while rotating through departments, meeting professionals, and practicing practical skills in real clinical environments.
Throughout the week, students work in small groups and participate in activities such as drawing “fake blood” from a mannequin arm, giving an injection to an orange, suturing a chicken, participating in Stop the Bleed training, earning CPR and Wilderness First Aid certifications, and many other skill-based sessions led by hospital staff.
Under the guidance of Memorial Hospital professionals, campers will use real medical equipment — including needles, syringes, suturing materials, and training mannequins — in a supervised educational setting. Because students will be handling sharp instruments and participating in clinical simulations, campers must demonstrate maturity, responsibility, and the ability to follow directions carefully.
A Reminder About Our Setting: Health Careers Camp takes place in a real, fully operating hospital. Campers are expected to be mindful of noise, respect privacy and confidentiality, and follow staff directions at all times. Occasionally, schedules may shift if hospital needs change. Flexibility and professionalism are an essential part of the experience.

June 29, 2026 - July 3, 2026. This camp generally takes place from 9 AM - 3 PM, but the time may vary due to field trips and other variables.

Cost
The full camp cost is $250, but a reduced cost is available during registration based on school reduced or free lunch status. Additional financial assistance is available via scholarships, please complete the request form on our Scholarships page prior to registration.
